“He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.” (2 Corinthians 5:15)
You, the tired, worn out, scared and lonely. You, the frustrated. You, the one who judges everyone. You, the one who questions everything. You who is never grateful. You. What if you had met Jesus on the way to Calvary? He would have stood before you and reached His arms out to you and said softly “You are the one I am dying for.”
If you are sick, tired and worn out, know that Jesus died for you. If you are consumed by anger, resentful that life isn’t going your way, know that Jesus died for you. If your hope is gone, know that Jesus died for you. He died for all of us.
If we believe in Him, we receive His spirit into our hearts. We no longer live for ourselves, we live for Him. Suddenly, all of our suffering, all of our anger, all of our fears, fade away, for His peace washes it all away.
Jesus stands before you with arms outreached saying softly, “You are the one I am dying for.”
