Joeseph Campbell believed there was really only one story, that of the hero. The hero must leave the comforts of home and go on a journey. The hero will face adversity. Along the way, the hero will be changed for the better for having faced challenges. Ultimately, the hero returns home and bring back with him or herself, something valuable to share. We are all on our hero’s journey. We are all navigating our way through the dark woods of benzo withdrawal. We face our own dragons. And we once again, return home, with something amazing to share: a better self.
