We don’t have to be courageous to face our fears. However, if we do the things that scare us even though we are scared, courage appears. Courage is what happens after we face our fears. All we have to do is to walk up to our fears and take just one step beyond them. Courage will then take you by the hand and will lead you the rest of the way. You CAN get through benzo withdrawal. You don’t have to be brave. You don’t have to be strong. You simply have to do it. Courage will show up at some point and will pick you up and put you on its shoulders. Until then, just do it. One day at a time.
