Nutrition is key to healing. Our bodies require proper fuel in order to function properly. One ingredient foods are best. Fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts, and seeds, are all part of a healthy diet. Avoiding Gluten has been shown to help many people in benzo withdrawal. Avoiding processed foods, food colorings, preservatives, and msg, is important as well. Going vegan or vegetarian in withdrawal can increase our symptoms. The Paleo and GAPS diet have both been useful in benzo withdrawal. Some people have reported that a ketogenic diet has helped, while others have noted that they felt unwell on it. Whatever diet works for you, make sure you are eating fresh, whole foods.
