The van is packed. I’m ready to pull away from the curb tomorrow or Monday, depending on last-minute odds and ends. My heart is full of hope, curiosity, gratitude, and a knowing of who I am and what I am supposed to be doing with my life. My cat and my dog are curled up beside me. I’m downloading music to my itunes library so I have some good traveling music. I mean, does it get any better than this? I am deeply content.
You’ll get here. You’ll get to this place of joy. Your brain will heal and your mind and body will cease to torture you. Please wait for it. Don’t quit before your miracle.
I am so damn grateful I never gave up.
I am so grateful I get to meet so many of you over the next three months.
Thank you. Thank you for being here for me and for each other as we battled withdrawal.
See you soon!
Love, Love. Love.
Jennifer

All the best Jen, be well and happy in 2015.
So happy to hear how well you’re feeling. You fought the good fight and wow, look at what you’re setting out to do. Such an exciting time for you. Looking so forward to hopefully meeting you. Got socked with the flu the day after Christmas. I’ve been set back, but not severely. What can you do? Safe travels, my friend.
Safe travels with Shakespeare….take good care of yourself and I hope I get to see you.
Good luck!
Dear Lord,
Please protect Jennifer from the attacks of the enemy, give her the grace to travel safely and may she continually feast on the unexpected blessings that you will provide. May she receive insights about this insidious drug, withdrawal, and recovery that is not from flesh and blood but from your spirit. May she recognize those comments and meetings that are divine appointments and you lead her. Lord we need someone who is faith based to lead the way, to articulate what seems to be indescribable, to find the hidden gifts as we embrace this suffering. Above all else, Lord you promised that when we remove the yoke of oppression that man continually creates, that you will provide, be her rear guard, be her help, that you will cause her righteousness to rise like the noon day sun, that she will be like a well-watered garden in a sun scorched land, and she will be an instrument of the Lord and be used to increase the capacity of those oppressed so that we all will be called the restorer of Streets and Dwellings.
Lord, it is your will that what is done in heaven be done on earth and that is to bring the kingdom of God to bear on peoples spiritual condition as well as to put things back in order. May we give people a taste of the kingdom to come while we are in earth so that are bodies may thrive again and we will help communities to thrive.
Amen

Dear Dr. Jenn, I have had every intention in sending you a note to wish you safe travels. I had a little setback though so that is my excuse. I guess you will be heading off in your van very shortly. I hope you will keep us all informed as to how you are doing and any new insights that you receive. Your sharing is always so helpful and it gives much hope.
I wanted to send you off with a prayer from Psalms 86. “Bend down , O Lord, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. Be merciful, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly. Give me happiness O Lord, for my life depends on you.
The rest of this Psalms is wonderful as well and verse 13 is pretty applicable to us all. ” for your love for Me is very great. You have rescued me from the depths of death”
Will look forward to hearing many exciting reports from you as you meet your friends. Will you be anywhere near GA? We will be traveling from IA and will be there in Feb. and March. I would love to be able to spend some time with you. Love, Linnea
